For your safety, our staff may ask you the same questions multiple times during your time at Elmhurst Outpatient Surgery Center for patient identification purposes. These questions include your name, date of birth, the type of surgery you are having and what body part is being Your surgeon and anesthesiologist will meet with you prior to surgery to review any questions that you may have. In addition, your surgeon will mark the spot on your body to be operated on. A parent, legal guardian or family member should be available to confirm that the correct body part is being marked, if applicable. |
After your procedure, our staff will speak to you regarding methods that you can use to help prevent post-surgical infections. We will also provide you with a brochure that you can take home with you in case you have any questions after you have been discharged.
Our goal at Elmhurst Outpatient Surgery Center is to provide an experience that not only meets, but also exceeds our patients’ expectations. If at anytime you have a concern regarding your safety or any aspect of your care, or you feel your expectations are not being met, please ask to speak with one of our Clinical Managers. After your procedure, you will receive a copy of our Patient Satisfaction Survey. This survey may be handed to you or sent to you via email if you have provided us with your email address. Patients are strongly encouraged to respond as your comments and suggestions are what assist us in creating a healthy, positive experience for our patients and their families.
Paper surveys can be returned via mail in the envelope provided or via fax at 630/758.8805. If you receive a survey via email, you may respond directly to the email. Or, you can complete the survey on our website at www.eosc.org.
